Luciana Correa is a teacher and a writer; she is the proud mother of three boys, who make her days, and a brain tumor survivor.
Luciana believes writing is a precious gift, a life saver, and it must receive recognition. She writes reviews to support those who invest their lives in doing that.
At 10 years old, as the winner of a national competition, she met Lygia Fagundes Telles, an outstanding Brazilian writer-2016 Nobel Prize nominee. The day they met, Lygia prophesied: “There’s a writer inside you, Luciana, and one day she will leap out and save your life.”
The brain tumor proved Lygia right. Although benign, the thing wreaked havoc in Luciana’s brain. She could not set a coffee machine without instructions because the region damaged by the tumor dedicates to writing and logical thinking. One may ask: “What? Do you need logical reflection to set a coffee machine?” You’d be surprised with the minor activities you do using that part of your brain.
The surgery took the doctors eight hours. The large brain destruction caused confusion and instability. Luciana needed to work to take her life back, so the real challenge began.
Thinking was painful and her doctor recommended her to write. The appropriate therapy to restructure her mind; she needed to build a new route to coherent ideas. “Write stories. The chain of events will help your brain.”
The therapy called the reader and urged the writer to the surface. As a grown up, she never applied herself to writing before the tragic circumstances.
Nowadays she is the proud author of a 4 and 5 star paranormal trilogy-The Knaast Saga-the books are in the hands of an editor in preparation for relaunch. She also writes YA sci-fi.
For police officer Tessa Holly, it’s not a feeling; it’s a fact. She can change her body any way she chooses. She will never grow sick or old.
Born a descendant of Ireland’s magical Tuatha dé Danann (Clan of Danu), Tessa expects to follow her clan’s Rules in all things—friendships, career, even marriage.
But when her brother and a human girl are seized by enemies bent on stealing Danann longevity, the Rules don't help. To rescue the captives, Tessa must rely on a man no one trusts as her guide through cairns, castles and cathedrals of Ireland and Britain in search of her people’s greatest treasures.
Along the way, she discovers a power greater than all others. If she uses it, she could save—or destroy—her people. More info →
