Endorsements
This is an adorable story about perseverance and self-acceptance. The little girl, Gloria, represents the small person inside each of us that longs to be accepted and loved for who we are, regardless of how we dress or walk or talk.

I enjoyed the little rhymes the author incorporated into the story and at the end. Children of all ages enjoy rhymes, so I think this will be a winning element for this book.

It was refreshing to find a unicorn as one of the main characters, as children connect with animals in stories quite well, and a unicorn is one that hasn't been done to death.

Certain parts of the story could have been fleshed out a bit more, and perhaps more strategic dialogue would have pulled me in further at various points, but overall it was an enjoyable read that I'm sure early readers will embrace.

I commend this author for having the courage to write about such a sensitive but important topic. We all need a friend like Sir Louie to help us find the magic within ourselves.
