A sweet story with a valuable lesson for life.
I am sure ‘The Adventures of Charlie Chameleon: New Beginnings’ is a book that children will love to read and watch, and put a smile on their faces. What a fantastic imaginary the author brought in with Charlie’s best friend Frankie, a fish who adore to eat meatballs. He goes everywhere Charlie goes, in a water helmet, in a bowl or in a basket. Charlie can tell everything to Frankie, and Frankie gives good advices, yes he also can talk.
I love the diversity of characters and the humor in this book.
Many children will have to deal with, or know friends who’s parents have decides to relocate. Leaving your friends, your school, everything behind can be very frightening for a child. Will they lose their friends? Will they ever have friends again? Ellen Buikema succeeded stabbing this subject in to a funny story. Reading this book kids find out that one always can find new friends, without giving up the old ones. And that is a great and valuable lesson for life.
A fun and educative story that I recommend to give your children to read and watch.

I really liked how it gave little life tips and especially recipes. My favorite was the smoothie one because I love making smoothies!
The story had a good message for kids about being able to make new friends even if you have to leave your old ones behind. You can always make new ones but you don't have to give up your old ones.
The illustrations were kind of childish and a little bit weird for me but the story was really good. I would recommend it to my friends.
