Ready For Flynn
(A contemporary rock star romance.)
Valerie learned to move on, until a life-changing event brought Flynn back, but was she ready?
Has she ever been Ready For Flynn?
“You’re a stunningly gorgeous young lady that’s way out of my league. But—for some weird reason, you said yes to a date with me, and here I am. Ta Da! Yours for however long that may be. I’m not like my namesake. I’m not going to try to analyze it; I’m just going to live it for what it is. I never expected you to agree to date me. Not in a million years. And, at some point, your real guy will come and sweep you off your feet, and all I can hope for is that you remember me with warmth and affection. We’re sixteen and I’m not going to pretend that this is forever, but we can make this time a good memory, right?” -Ziggy ❤💕
With everything Val and Flynn go through you're brought into their world, and easily craving more from them both. I was given a free copy of this read from Readers Review Room for an honest review. I loved every second of this read! It was an emotional rollercoaster but in a very good way! The thrills and excitement left me craving more and more with every word I devoured. The characters were so very easy to relate to. From the three brothers being overly protective of their little sister, to the fiery little spunk Val grew into. Lets not forget about the dreamy, dirty talking, charm of Flynn. With everything these characters went through, it took you along with it, bringing feelings to the surface you never knew you could feel for a book...
I loved that you grew with Val, experienced her every thought and feeling as she slowly came to her 18th birthday. Val and Flynn's relationship was unique and only grew as time went. Val had gone and been through a lot.. But Flynn was always there in the end offering her his heart. They cried, I cried. They hurt, I hurt. I felt everything from laughter, joy, sorrow, hope, and love. I absolutely loved this read! I gave this book 5 stars. Easily Recommend it to anyone who craves a good rockstar romance or romance in general! Happy reading and I really do hope you pick this book up and give it a try!!
Valerie is sweet and has a good head on her shoulders. My favorite is Ziggy; he's so sweet and so caring. He would do anything for Valerie.
I enjoyed this book a lot, even with all the ugly crying I did. I had to stop reading the book twice so I can collect myself and not see blurry letters.
Overall I recommend this great read to everyone and have lots of tissues ready!
The story line was unique and intriguing, and I adored Flynn and Val's relationship. This author really knows how to add angst and suspense to a love story.
One of the subplots of this story involved Valerie suffering the loss of two very important people in her life, to which I can relate. I lost my only brother to a vehicle accident when he was only twenty-one and I was eighteen, getting ready to enter my senior year of high school, just like Valerie in this story.
Here are a few of my favorite lines that exemplify the raw emotion in the writing I mentioned. They explain everything I went through with my at-the-time boyfriend, who is now my husband.
I’d willingly admit I was emotionally wrung out after the boys’ deaths, and although Flynn leaving like that devastated me, the way he’d explained it made sense. He made me hate him because anger and hate were easier to deal with than heartache.
Another note that touched my heart in this book was when Valerie mentioned her deep love for Flynn, since he was her first real love. The same was true with my husband who went through my tragedy with me back then:
It’s a love that cuts into your heart and marks your soul. No matter what comes after, the memory of that love continues to ooze from the wound.
And finally, a line that I found sexy and funny at the same time, when Flynn was teasing Valerie--just one example of the type of things they said to each other throughout the story, that saved me from having my insides ripped out the whole time.
“Now you know how it feels. Not nice being teased to the point of explosion without the detonation, is it?”
There was a bit more graphic language than I prefer in a novel, but it was true-to-form for the characters in this book--virginal-spoiled-brat Valerie Darsin and bad-boy-rockstar-from-a-broken-home Flynn. The pure passion that lingered between these two was almost tangible, and when they finally got together, it was explosive!
I'd definitely recommend this book to anyone who enjoys a sexy, dirty, young romance. It's hot!
